This is for business, and it will be business expense/asset. Cost doesn't particularly matter but it should be really light and portable.

It must have 16gb ram as I usually run around 12 on my 17". It needs a good graphics card like 1070 max-q or a bit lower. Those two things narrow it down a lot.

At the moment, the msi p65 looks great. Wondering if there are good alternatives.. It has to look professional but be a beast as well.

you can easily add ram if a laptop only comes with 8gb.

    that p65 looks good alright.

you could push the boat out to get this beauty - future proof things!
seems like the new gtx 2080 provides a big boost in laptops compared to the 1000 series cards

Not anymore on entry level laptops.

Stuff like onboard memory , solder positions for a second slot but no socket. No hatch so you have to take apart the laptop, bonus points if you have to remove the motherboard too

It's like laptop manufacturers want to make it easier for people to defect to tablets.

Had that sent to me by someone in my Discord as well. I'm only in the market for a 15" as my 17" is already fine for gaming.

I'm going to hold off and see what can be done with 2060 / 2070 max-q.

Gaming laptops have two ram slots.
