Pre calver minerals

    Hi, is there any point in me giving pre calver dry minerals (shake on silage) to weanlings and bulling heifers?

    Alot of precalver minerals are made up of loads of cal mag. So no. You'd be better off bolusing them.

    What bolus would you give them?

    I’ve Allsure bought for the incalf cattle- my first time using them. Gotta get a gun too as bet was sold out of them when Mam went in, are all guns the same?

    No but you can give ordinary cattle minerals if you need
