    Hi all,
Just a query. I received an amended tax credit certificate for 2019 this morning. My Rate Band 1 has been reduced by €9620 from 35,300 to 25,680, due to "DSP Jobseekers Benefit" Im not sure why my tax band has been reduced by €9620. I was on DSP from end of last year to the very beginning of this year, as I have returned to work. Anybody know why this has been applied? A reduction of my tax credits of nearly 10K will have a big impact on moving from 20% to 40% tax!

    Any advice appreciated!

    Thanks

Is it a case that Revenue system has not been updated to say you are off JSB. So they are reducing your credits to account for the tax that would be liable on it. Quick call to them would confirm this and at same time adjust your tax credit to where they should be.

Thanks for that! I already got a tax credit cert the start of the week with it removed and my new job details on it. Then I got this today, with different details. so I was very confused!
