Civil Service - Time and Attendance Systems

Probably fairly specific query but does anyone know if a time and attendance (flexi) supervisor is able to amend their own record? I know that they’re not allowed but are they physically able to?

Nope - only the supervisor's supervisor will have access to amend the clock unless this person works in an admin area with access to all flexi staff. Any updates to the flexi system would also be monitored and subject to audit.

I know that not every department operates the same system, so this could be true for some but not for others, I was at one time a flexi supervisor and I could amend my own clock on the system we used where I worked for some practical reason which I no longer remember. But yeah, you're not meant to be able to.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah sounds like it differs from Dept to Dept. I understand that the audit trail will be there, so that's good.

Possibly. Manager is aware and monitoring but I just wanted to know officially what happens.
