I am thinking of buying a new one of these cars.

I have never bought anything other than Toyota and Mazda beffore but I really like the look of this car.

Is this make Good, I want low maintenance reliable driving.

Is it good on fuel consumption.

    Hi tretorn

It's a new model this year so stats are limited. I am getting one myself in a few weeks, can let you know then.

I've had Audi A3s for the last 13 years and not one scrap of trouble with either of them. Both 2.0l TDi, manual. Fuel consumption varied depending on where I bought it. Recently have been using the Topaz Miles Plus and there is a marked difference (of course it's dearer, but I hate filling up so the further I can go without having to go to a petrol station, the better - completely irrational!!).

Have been getting between 750 - 850 KM per tank, and now up to 960/980 with the Miles Plus. I do mainly motorway driving.

Only need a service every 30K on the new (161) A3. Think it was about €180 for the first 30K service and about €275 for the 60K.

Sorry, forgot to say, the Q3 will be 2.0l TDi automatic.

I am very tempted, I might test drive one.

I presume it wont be possible to buy a manual drive. Are you with going moving to an automatic.

I looked at the A2 as well but its a 1.5 l engine. I have a Rav 2l and I like the power so want something similar power wise. The sales person said the A2 petrol engine !.5 would be as powerful as the 2l Rav but I have my doubts.

The A3 is about 40,000 euros, is it madness to pay that.

I think I will go for it.

I am surprised it doesnt come with a reverse camera at that price and the leather seats are 1400 euros extra.

Did you have leather seats, is it worth paying the extra.

Mine doesn’t have leather seats. Had leather seats (heated) in an older 2nd hand, car and would only go for them if they were heated. Being a girl, leather seats are a bit of a pain in the summer when you’re wearing a skirt or shorts - legs just stick to them, not pleasant! So, in general, I wouldn’t ever bother with them as an extra.

Would have liked the reverse camera all right but it’s the only thing really.

Picking it up on Friday! :D

The comfort pack is good value. Its the leather seats plus the reverse camera plus keyless entry and the three seats in the back can be adjusted individually.

Have to say I am surprised the reverse camera isnt standard.

Did you get any extras thrown in.

Did you get a standard key or one with the push button thingy.

I don’t care how good technical advances have become. 30K between oil changes is criminal and a recipe for trouble down the road.

The mother of a friend of mine went recently to see about a new model Q3 and was quoted minimum 26 weeks for delivery on any order for one.
    Seems very long wait.

I was told twelve weeks maximum wait and arrival could be a bit less.

If you are doing a trade in twenty six weeks is a long time to be driving your old car around.

I enquired about ordering a new A4 and was told to think about June or thereabouts.

Bespoke orders submitted today getting april build because of high demand but if you're flexible with colour and spec no issue picking a stock unit up for immediate delivery.
