Washing Machine wont fill with water

    I had my washing machine in storage for 3 months i.e unused due to pyrite remediation. I am trying to use it for the 1st time since I moved back to the house and when I turn it on it just makes a humming noise and wont fill with water.I disconnected and reconnected the water pipe and its still the same problem. There is no issue with power to the washing machine as all the lights come on etc and the door lock light. Will i need to call out a plumber? The taps in the sink work fine.

    With the water off try disconnecting the water going in to the machine and check there's no blockage in the filter, there's normally a filter just where the hose connects, it's thin gause which may be blocked with debris.
