Exhaust issues....

Recently (<3 months ago) I got a new exhaust fitted as the section that goes into the box at the back had completely separated.
It was immediately mentioned that it was not possible to weld it together so 2 new sections were bought.
Already it sounds exactly like it did before this happened so it seems to me it may well be gone again, so I'm gonna have someone look at it tomoro, but is it normal for this to happen again so quickly and whats the comeback in terms of warranty on this type of work?
Cost was around 300 I think so I'd expect to get more than 3 months from it!

Usually if it's not weldable it's because its red rotten. If you only replaced a section of exhaust, it's quite possible another part of the old system has now given up due to rust too, so don't rule out the fact that a new section has failed.

However, if the repair has failed (depending on the type of outfit that did the work) I would expect them to stand over a job like that for more than 3 months. Most decent operators will put 12 months warranty on a repair.

Sounds reasonable. I'll wait til I see whats going on there before deciding how to proceed. But it sounds exactly like it did prior to having to replace the sections a few months back, so not optimistic about it.
