Had completely forgotten this was getting a season 2, and apparently it's due sometime this spring. 3 years between seasons! Some promotional pictures have arrived, meaning a trailer is probably not far behind.

Looking forward to seeing how this clever little gem expands and explains, or at least teases at explanation.

I know I could just not watch it, and I always feel a little silly moaning about sequels/additional seasons, but I don't think I needed anything more beyond the first season.

Maybe their original vision was always to expand beyond the first season but I was very content with where it ended (not that I remember exactly how it wrapped up right now).

Good start, and I liked how unfazed the leads were with this new premise; no attempts to reset their expectations in an attempt to recapture the energy of season 1; Nadia taking things in her stride ... up until she realised who she was in the past mind you. I'd have probably quit smoking at that point - but Nadia was never an admirable protagonist either.

I was also curious who the guy who kinda looked like Sharlto Cooley was, until I realised it was Sharlto Copley 🙄😁

I've only watched the first episode and ermm what to say, not impressed and hope it gets better after the brilliant S1

I'm on ep5 and it's definitely not as enjoyable as season 1. They're doing something new and interesting but not as grabbing as S1 premise.

Was a decent enough second season - interesting concepts and nuances but kept thinking of Last Train to Christmas

Think this kind of thing has been done enough and they didn't make it any different and there was a lack of comedy compared to the first season I thought. Maybe it would have worked better with a different cast and separated the story from the first season or do like AHS does

Watched 3 episodes last night of first season....really now at a point where I could easily drop it. Watching her kill herself on the stairs 4 times was 3 times too many so I guess if that's annoying me this early it's not a good sign.

But, I like the actor and the music and always liked the infinite possibilities of a Groundhog day story...so will probably push on for another while.

3 episodes in and the music is the best thing. Not really enjoying it.

Not a patch on Series 1

A thing isn't what it says it is.

A thing is what it does.

Yeah, watched the first 3, and it’s just not grabbing me. I thought season 2 might start to unveil why the Groundhog Day was happening, but instead it just flips the sleuthing time element; instead of repeating the same time period, it brings in time-travel for it, with the mother/daughter body-swap trope thrown in. Not sure yet, but angle seems an add-on, thrown in to make it more interesting. Although Lyonne’s character is much more annoying in this season, I want to carry on just to see where it goes- coz it is intriguing.

Just finished ep1, and if this goes the way I think they might go, it could be very interesting.

I wonder if it'll turn out her mom's breakdown was caused by Nadia quantum leaping into her body.

Forgot all about this and caught another couple of episodes. I can see why people are cold on this, but I'm digging it. It's a much different beast from season 1 - but then it had to be. Doing another time loop would have been lazy and while thematically appropriate, just come off like a rehash. I like sequels that try a new, confident direction and here we have something with a different beat. I'm intrigued to know where this takes Nadia - and how Alan figures into it.

I had also forgotten what a piece of shít Nadia was, lol.

    Season 2 was just a self-indulgent mess.

Haha oh god. I totally forgot to finish this season; kinda says it all. I was enjoying what the show was doing, but guess it lacked that hook to keep me coming back.

Interestingly, in another note about how depressing the algorithm is: the show is no longer presented in my "Continue watching for ..." category in the app. I guess if you don't finish something, after a while Netflix stops suggesting you finish it.

Completely lost the magic of the first season, real shame.
