Just a thought that popped into my head.

Hypothetically speaking, if someone was completely cut from their social welfare payment for whatever reason, are they just left to fend for themselves financially by the state? Or is it impossibly for them to cut the whole payment?

The state are responsible for putting a house over our head and food and clothes. This isn’t the 1800s.

Yes of course it’s possible for you to be completely cut from your SW payment and left to fend for yourself.
There are terms and conditions attached to qaulifying for benefits and allowances. If you don’t stick to the terms and conditions then your eligibility ceases and your payment stops.
It may go further then that. It may be decided that you weren’t entitled to the payment for some time or maybe you were never entitled. In that case you will have to pay it all back and possibly end up in court.
That’s because it’s taxpayers money and the taxpayer doesn’t forgive that easily.
There’s nearly always an appeals process which can take along time.

It’s not the 1800s but no, the state are not responsible for clothing and feeding people who can clothe and feed themselves.

This is not true. The state is not responsible, you, yourself are responsible for your own set of circumstances. The state will and do help people but they are not responsible for you.

Edit; following a background check into Mary brosnan's posts, I'm satisfied that he/she is a serial re reg/troll.

Then you’d have to get a job in order to finance yourself.
