    Hi all,

Just curious, if I want to install a NEST Thermostat in the house and currently have no room Thermostat anywhere, do I need to run a wire from the tank to the location of the NEST.?

    Thanks a lot!

No, you install the hub into the boiler wiring, and use WiFi to connect nest to the hub

Thanks very much! Really, thanks for that!

I have a plumber in at the moment and he advised that I had to run a wire (involving chasing /pulling out and making good plaster in walls and ceilings) in order to run wires from the boiler to the location of choice for the thermostat...... (I told him it is a NEST thermostat too by the way)

Nah, the nest itself can go anywhere you want in the house, or just needs a micro USB supply. Doesn't have to go on the wall either if you don't want..

Get a proper installer to install the Nest
