I would love to get back working but I would need a car to get to the bigger towns where employment is.
When I got my house I got a €4,000 furniture allowance and I’m wondering is there an allowance for a car or public transport even.

There’s 15000 to buy a people carrier but only a people carrier. The CWO has the application forms.
More recently there’s 1000 for tattoos and piercings. It’s only 1000 per household though. Like the fuel allowance.
You’ve missed the boat on the 3000 Christmas shopping, though I would still apply for it and you can appeal it onthe grounds that you only recognize Chinese New Year?

You slipped up somewhere with the €4,000.
Most got €6,250 and a home office with lifetime broadband thrown in.

The infantile responses are not welcomed. A lot of jealousy it seems.

It wasn't directed at you Mary !

But do you mind me asking when you last worked or went for a job interview? Can you not take the bus?

I don't blame ya availing of the unfair allowances, maybe I'm the fool working and paying taxes for you!

Unfortunately, it's true. Eligible people get a capital allowance to help with the purchase of a car and a weekly allowance for fuel costs.

That makes me sick. Where's the financial assistance for me to buy a new car , I'm the one paying taxes not then!

    How much is this allowance?

    And fuel allowance too?? FFS

    Why can't they take buses??
