Theres a 2.0 highline in frank Hogan’s in limerick for the same money.

The 1.6 is ok but you really would want the 2.0

I’m Dublin based, no more than 15,000km

What would be the issue with 1.6 Passat

The weight of the car and the power?

:D in the 'Let's talk specs' section, the first thing it says is 2.0 litre engine! It's clearly a 1.6

The sport pack is nicer than the highline alhough the extra 30BHP will be noticeable..

The idea of a sports pack a 1.6 diesel Passat is comical. Unless the sport is knitting.

Comical because it’s a 1.6 diesel or it’s not really a sports pack?

Seriously 2.0 L or nothing in a Passat.

A 1.6 looks ok but it doesn't have the heart of the 2.0 L

The 2.0 is probably more economical and gives you that bit Extra coming onto the motorway.

The OP only does 15k kms per year, I don't recommend a diesel at all...

Op you need to buy a car that suits your needs.

Diesel is not for you as mentioned.

Dpf and egr etc etc will break your heart and wallet.

    Look at a petrol version.

Firstly as others have said stay away from diesel with your circumstances and secondly if you go with it get the 2litre daily motoring will be much more pleasant

There's one still there for 32k, 161 reg with 8k on the clock.

Depends on what sort of driving is being done and whether it will get to stretch its legs at all.
