    Hi,

I was wondering can someone give me some advice on this please if possible.
I have a private car which is insured at present.
My Insurance renews every year in September and I pay monthly direct debits throughout the year.
I have started back to work and I have been given a company car so I will no
    longer need my own car.
So I was wondering can or should I cancel my own policy ?
Then obviously I lose the no claims for the year.but then I was thinking
as Im half way through the year just continue paying even though I would have scrapped the car.Just to keep the NCB.

    Maybe thats not possible ?
Then I was wondering if I drive the company car for years then does my own personal NCB expire as I believe I heard it expires if you dont use for couple of years ?
Just wondering can someone advise me what to do please ?
    Many thanks

Of course you can cancel your policy at any time. You will retain the ncb you have built up for 2 years, but at that stage it will expire. If it was me I would cancel the car policy you have and revist the matter closer to the expiration of the 2 years. Who knows maybe you won’t have a company car then?

    Thanks,
Yea I was thinking to cancel it and like you said when it gets closer to the 2 years then I may buy a small runaround car just to keep up the NCB.
Yea the way insurance prices are these days the NCB is really important to have.
    Thanks for the advice.
