Earnings of a counsellor in private practice

My OH is thinking of retraining as a counsellor. Is there good money in private practice? Any idea of gross earnings per annum and hidden costs etc? Thanks.

It likely depends on the focus of the practice and the source of their business. If they keep up to date on new training and join workplace schemes and the like they can probably make quite the living.
