    where are you applying ?
I was listening to German radio last night and the hotels in ski areas in Germany are crying out for workers.
Obviously for front of house in a hotel you'd need good german, but they cant even get people to make the beds or wash dishes or just clean or setup a restaurant, and that could be done with just knowing english. Those jobs sometimes come with accomodation so compared to looking to move to an in-demand city, the move should be relatively painless.
The town that was featured was Oberstdorf - heres the national job centre listings website, just enter Oberstdorf and you'll see 100s of jobs ready to be filled immediately
https://jobboerse.arbeitsagentur.de/vamJB/startseite.html?aa=1&m=1&kgr=as&vorschlagsfunktionaktiv=true (website maxes out at 200 jobs, so theres more jobs than that which for a smallish town is some amount of free positions)
I also heard of similar problems in Austria, the locals dont want to do the hotel and catering jobs that have relatively inconvienent hours and nobody is moving in to replace their lazy asses.
The one thing to be aware of is that the jobs market is so tight at the moment that the hotels are being stung by people applying for jobs and not turning up, so actually going to the resort and just asking in person might be the best option. If youre not doing anthing at the moment anyhow then theres nothing to loose by just hopping on a plane and seeing how it goes.

EDIT: I found the article "Winter in Allgau : Tourism boom meets Labour Shortage" which mentions restaurants reducing opening hours and hotels not filling all rooms because they simply cannot find the staff to provide the service.

Thread moved to where it would be better suited.

Alternatively, I would suggest you look in WinterSports right here.

    Thanks,
