Hi two nights ago I came to a Garda checkpoint,
I stopped but the Garda was dealing with others so I waited a few seconds and drove on. The Garda hadn't waved me on but wasn't very interested in me.
My family say I should have stopped and waited so not I'm WORRIED SICK. I was fully insured etc.

    What's the correct procedure?

    Will I be in trouble?

Wait until you're called through is my rule of thumb.

You'd know all about it if they wanted you to stop.

Absolutely nothing to worry about. They would have chased after you if they thought you were up to no good. Once they see that you have a tax insurance and nct you're usually grand.

Nothing to worry about they would have flagged you to stop.

You are only required to stop if they signal you to do so, otherwise there is no obligation to stop checkpoint or not.
