Is British body, Oftec, still the overseer of servicing in Ireland?

    Or do we now have our own regulatory body for servicing and fitting of oil boilers in Ireland?

    There is no regulation of oil boiler servicing in Ireland, nor in the UK.
    OFTEC have a presence in both, and are a trade association and operate a competent persons scheme for oil and solid fuel installation, they are not a regulator.

    sorry to say a few spanners a hoover and a few nozzles and you can call yourself an oil boiler service engineer

    mores the pity its not regulated like gas

    There is building regulations for installations.The service technician follows these regulations and mi instructions

    Sorry regulator was the wrong word, I meant association, so there is no Irish one
