This little Daihatsu "kei" car arrived in our local scrap metal yard last week.
Don't know if you'd consider it a classic, but if anyone needed parts, they should move fast! :D
    Tan leather interior.

It's tiny, makes those Nissan Figaro's look wide!

Were they supposed to look like a Lancia? :D

    That’s a Daihatsu Opti “Classic”

The regular Opti didn’t have the stupid grille.

They did an even stranger saloon version.

Small cars with weird faux-British facelifts were all the rage in Japan.

    Exhibit A:
    Autech Nissan Micra

    Exhibit B: Subaru Impreza Casablanca

And of course, the Mitsubishi Viewt (Micra)

I had to google this one, I couldn't believe it wasn't just a bad photoshop job...

But it's real. I'm actually puzzled how that monstrosity was approved to be made.

Wait till you see what they did to the mx5.

I'd consider it an interesting classic (and hideous). Would surely attract interest at a show.

    Do tell !

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I was expecting an abomination... but that's a lovely looking roadster. Yes, it's derivative, but she's pretty!

    The corvette copy isn't bad.....
.....but the Himiko. Looks like an MX5 rear-ended a XK120 and somebody just kept on driving it !

Surely the Himiko is a Morgan copy?

Bit of a love child of both for me.

I always hated the Aero. Ugh.
