    Hi All

Looking for help with magic eye setup, i have had this working for several years but in the last few weeks i have a picture but the sky remote wont work.
I have 3 eyes in various rooms and the remote control wont work in any of them so it looks like there is some connector issue shorting out the setup.

In the attic i have an F Connector on the RF out cable and at the other end i have a normal coax plug connected to the RF out cable. Where would the issue usually lie , with the F connector or the normal coax plug ?

I have redone both sides on the cable and the picture is now very clear but still cant change the channel.

    Any ideas  ?

Sounds like a loose connection all right.

Are the red lights on at each eye.

This is a long shot but I had Christmas lights close to one of the magic eyes and it prevented all the eyes from working once the flashing lights were turned off they all worked again. Every connector needs to 100% ensuring the outer braid of the coax is making good connection too.

what do you mean about the outer braid making a good connection ? Do you mean the thready type stuff just inside the black plastic ?

Yes as far I know this carrys the power for the magic eye. But you have the red light on so maybe this ok.

The eyes are being powered by a distribution amplifier it appears.

Most likely your problem is the connections between this and the sky box.

Cable has to come from rf2 out on the sky box to the distribution amp.

If the cable is coming from rf out, you'll still get the picture and the red lights on the eyes but you'll have no control.

Still, unless someone was at the cabling, the problem wouldn't have arisen. Just giving what help I can
