Am I right in thinking that I need a BER cert for my house when applying for the grant for the EV charge point?
So the grant wont cover the cost at all as the BER cert will probably cost more than half the grant.

Afaik, there is no connection between BER cert and charge point grant.

A BER is about your house heating, insulation etc. A charge point won’t affect any of that.

I claimed the grant a few months back - no mention of BER

You may be thinking of the unique MPRN number associated with the dwelling.

Or maybe the BER cert associated with claiming the grant for solar panels?

    BER not required.
The BER is required when getting home heating, insulation upgrades etc.
