How do you apply for the over 70's home package if the gas bill is in your wife's name only and you have separate bank accounts? Thanks.

You'll see that it states that for the electricity/gas payment
You must be registered, or joint registered consumer (your name must be on the bill), before the allowance can be credited to your bill. Please contact your supplier if this is not the case

Having a separate bank account from your wife would not be an issue. You can get your payment at a post office of your choice or direct to your current, deposit or savings account in a financial institution. An account must be in your name or jointly held by you.

Is your wife over 70 too? If she is then she can apply for it. If not then she and you should ring the gas supplier and get your name added to the bill so it says “John and Mary Garibaldi” on the bill.
That’s very easy.
The bank accounts are irrelevant.
