Looking at getting a new tv

What's the difference between these 2, apart from the stand?

LG 49UK6300PLB
LG 49UK6400PLF

Any other tv you'd recommend, ideally sub £400?

Looking at sound bars too. Are the ones for less than £100 any use?

Hi Wheety.

The only difference between the two is the stand and the 6400 is the Havan Brown in colour.

You could perhaps look at the Panasonic 49FX550 which is also priced at £399

For a soundbar around the £100 mark there is the JBL Bar Studio priced at £99

The bars around the £100 price point are ok to use to boost the sound from your televisions but when you go up over £200 there is a very noticeable difference in sound quality.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for that. Why would you recommend the Panasonic? I prefer the stand on the 6400. Although the plan is eventually to get a cantilever bracket, so if the Panasonic is better I would consider it.

Is there any Boardsie discount or will the online price be the same?

Oh, and what is the app store like on the Panasonic? I have a Samsung tv and I believe the LG is the same.

Hi Wheety,

The Panasonic has a better panel and would give a better picture.

The smart hub on the LG is very good however it's not the same as the Samsung in terms of layout. It does have very similar apps though.

Kind regards
