We find closmectin to be good,i think this mild weather is a factor also, sheds are stuffy stock are sweating a bit, alot of licking and scratching...shaving backs here today and closmectin should sort them..

Deltanil and butox are both deltametrin based

If they are only getting their first treatment now I think you need to do them in a week again to get any eggs. I done all mine with closamectin a fortnight ago and shaved their backs today and done with spotinor. I’ll give all the cows and 2 bulls a dose of levafas diamond next week whether that’s right or wrong and a bag or two of lime should see out the rest of the winter.

I done all today with closmectin plus clipping...and im also goin to replace all the vent sheeting around the shed and replace with timber lats about 1.5" apart to help with air flow, walked in the shed this morning the steam off them was unreal....stock couldn't thrive in that heat..

I think the vented sheeting is a nice marketing trick, but doesn’t get any real air flow. Hit and miss timber lest the air pass without a draft. Reggie has a nice job done on his calf’s shed with 4x1 and inch apart if I remember correctly.

Reduces the wind somewhat but doesn’t stop the rain if there’s wind. The next gust of wind blows the water through. Never used it on animals, only in industry use.

Haven't had lice here in years and years. Airy shed though.
Clean the vented sheets each summer too, pain of a job but really notice the difference after they're scrubbed

That will be mange causing them patches. I use Taktic and find it good. Also shave backs of all houses cattle and have scratchers in which I think are great investment for the comfort they give to cattle

Did my bunch with Ectospec today. Have to do them again in about 3 weeks time. For the boys who clip, do you have a battery clippers? How many cattle will a charge do?

The main issues with batteries are if they are not used regularly they loose their charging capacity. I only use mine occasionally hence the cable version.
