The most disturbing thing there is that she seems to think it appropriate to use a mobile phone at the pumps.

If this was real, the psychotic laughter of the filming guys, and their reaction to film and laugh, rather than help, would make me more worried about their contributions to society tbh.

I found your man's laugh the funniest part of the video

I personally can't believe that someone would willingly just choose to buy petrol without an empty light forcing them to. It's the most tedious task, she obviously wasn't prompted to buy it so makes no sense. Maybe that says more about my own laziness though.

I top up once a week whether I need to or not.

It could be she simply borrowed the car and wanted to fill it before returning it.

I thought it was very funny to be honest, your man's laugh sounded genuine to me.

Fair play, I dread it and put it off as long as possible. It's the most tedious task to me and can't imagine ever doing it just because.

Not a good idea really, you should get into the habit of keeping the tank at least a quarter full to stop drawing any dirt that might be in the bottom of the tank into the sensitive system of modern cars where it can do a lot of damage.

That's what the fuel filter is for. Even if you did top up regularly the dirt is still there. If it's sitting at the bottom with 1L in the tank it will be in the same position with 25L or 50L in the tank.

It's also a waste of time/fuel to go to the petrol station more often than you need to. Fill it to the brim, refill it when the light comes on.

I don't think you understand what I was trying to explain, and, I don't understand what you are trying to explain either Dave.

But I'm cool with that Dave, drive on.

When dealing with petrol, I would prefer if people were (a) paying attention and (b) filling their vehicle promptly.

She's not touching the petrol pump when she has the mobile in her hand.

Almost as daft as putting petrol in a diesel or visa versa

I believe this to be some kind of 'lets go viral lol' attempt by Tesla.

Why would she attempt to put fuel into it? She bought it, so knows it's electric, or someone gave her a lend of it, and it obviously never prompted her to put petrol or diesel in, so why would she bother.

Add to that the never-stop-laughing with the camera phone that just happens to be recording it.

I roll my eyes at thee.

Being nice to the person whom she borrowed it from is a good reason.

Yeah she got a lend of it so reckons she should throw a bit of diesel in.. so she looks at the diesel gauge and...?

All seems a bit unlikely, although I worked in an electrical shop and some of the questions you'd get asked would leave you wondering how some people manage to tie their own shoelaces.

You have to remember that to some people a car is a car and Tesla doesn't necessarily even register as relevent to them.

As Blackadder said when asked a technical question about the an invention called the Raveling Nancy: "I am one of these people who are quite happy
to wear cotton, but have no idea how it works."

The only issue I would have been concerned about is if she had actually sprayed even a small amount petrol into a charge port she could have potentially caused a fire. Even if she didn't it would be hard to get it out again.

Not trying to be funny, just curious, as I have to fill up twice a week so never think of it that way.

I've no idea, it's just so boring and monotonous. Waiting on pump to become free, opening up the cap, then just standing there in the cold doing nothing really, closing the cap, having to go in and wait in queue to pay, then having to get back in to the car. It's all just really tedious. Same with brushing and flossing my teeth. Can't stand having to do it multiple times a day.

More to the point, how would you put fuel in an all electric car, would there even be a fuel opening door?

    Staged stupid gag

Well here's one way to get petrol into a leccy car, if a roundabout way.

Maybe the person who owned the car asked her to take it for a spin, and 'fill her up'.... as a joke. Like asking an apprentice to find a glass hammer to fit a windscreen.
That 's probably who she was ringing.
