Oneway flights with Aer Lingus - from Dublin vs London

    Hi,

Oneway flight DUB to SFO in Jan with Aerlingus is €520.

But on Skyscanner oneway London to SFO with Aerlingus, via DUB (ie same Dub-SFO flight) is a lowly (and lovely) €330.

Seems to me that AL are either discounting to UK based travellers to win the business, or loading the Dublin price because Irish-based travellers have no other option. Just bad feels.

Anyone Dublin-based have experience/advice on obtaining the LON-SFO €330 fare while flying from Dublin. Cost of extra flight to London plus overnight accom would probably consume the €200 benefit.

Basically you're paying for the convenience of a direct flight.

It's not worth the hassle if you have to book a hotel in London. Try to fly in a few hours before the flight. London flights are dirt cheap so you could save 150e. per person which might add up and be worth it.
