No hot water

My rads work perfectly fine but no hot water going into taps or coming from taps.
Is it a diverter valve fault in my baxi boiler or could it be a problem in immersion tank with the element not working?
Help. No hot water in my home for two years!
Boiler works but no hot water. I also turn on the immersion switch in hot press.... no effect whatsoever.

I realize this may say crazy, but no hot water in house for two years! Boiler and rads work perfectly but no hot water in taps at all unless I flush the toilet. Water then gets v hot while toilet cistern refills and then back to cold once full again.
Is boiler diverter valve faulty? Faulty immersion tank element? More serious issue?

Is there no water coming from hot taps or no temperature in the water.

I see you've 2 posts on the same topic but different description in each.
Maybe delete the posts and create one with as much information as possible in it.

Do you have a booster pump supplying hot and cold water in the house/apartment?

My boiler seems to be working fine as the rads heat up perfectly fine. However, I get no hot water at all in any tap or shower. This has been a problem for two years!. The water that comes from the hot taps or shower is cold... maybe lukewarm at best. This may sound crazy, but the taps or shower only give out hot water if I flush the toilet!
Could it be a faulty diverter valve with my baxi boiler? Could the element in immersion tank be faulty? Help

There is a Stuart Turner pump in hot press but no other pump in attic. Is this a booster pump? Is this the cause of problems?

Have you got a combi boiler (heats water directly as you need it) then it sounds like a sticking diverter.

I'd a baxi combi and it would do the same - if you ask for hot water, the burner starts up but the hot water goes to the rads via a stuck-on-rad diverter valve!. By tapping the diverter with a stick, I could get it to shift across and direct the hot water out the taps. Pain in the arse.

Sounds like the pressure drop on the water supply (which happens when you flush the toilet) is giving the diverter the equivilent of a 'knock' and causing it to unstick and direct hot water from rads to taps.

    Ok 2 things wrong here.

1- if he has an immersion and a Stuart Turner pump he obviously hasnt got a combi boiler.

2- im not a mod but please don't advise people to hit components inside a gas boiler with a stick, as not only is it illegal to work on a gas boiler if non rgi registered but it also dangerous as behind the casing contains live wiring.

I have a baxi megaflo combi boiler. I use it to heat rads and hot water. Rads heats fine but no hot water from hot water taps. I suspect the diverter valve in baxi boiler is faulty.
I never use the immersion switch in hot press.
I did recently, however, just to see if it had any impact on hot water and no it doesn't. Still lukewarm at best.
The Stuart Turner pump pumps water to all taps all round the house.

I stand corrected... the baxi megaflo h.e . is a system boiler, not a combi boiler... not sure of the difference or reason why no hot water from hot taps!

    Finally !!
So now you realise you don't have a diverter valve ?
So you won't be hitting it with a stick ?
Take a few pics of the hotpress/cylinder layout.
Also try shutting off the cold water to the pump and run the hot taps. Does the pump run? Is the water hot?

Make sure the red gate valve at the bottom of the cylinder is just open a couple of turns.
When you have the time clock set to heat hot water Do you feel the flow and return pipes at the side of the cylinder getting hot.
After a couple of hours of the hot water set to heat does the pipe directly out of the top of the cylinder feet hot.
Try what i suggested earlier, turn off the cold water into your pump and run a hot tap, does the pump run on and is the water hot.
