Alloy wheel refurb - any place does loan wheels?

    Hi all,

I'm hoping to get the wheels on my car refurbished after some curb damage. They're diamond cut but after getting some seriously high quotes to get them brought right (~€600 for the 4 18" wheels) I'm thinking about just getting them painted instead.

The actual problem though is that I can't find anywhere that offers loan wheels while my own are being repaired. I'm sure they're sick of people damaging ones they've loaned out but I'd do with four steel wheels once I have a way to get to/from work. Otherwise it's leave the car with the shops and I have no way of getting about.

Oh - I'm in the south east - but I'm willing to do Cork/Dublin!

    Anyone have any recommendations ?

    Thanks.

Would be hard for a shop to do this. Keeping a stock of wheels in different sizes, never mind the liability of making sure the tyres are in good safe condition

Rim solutions in park west do this. Top quality job they do and will loan you wheels.

I'm nearly certain I seen it mentioned here before that the likes of Wheel Wizards and Rim Solutions give loaner wheels while doing refurbs. Obviously would depend on the model and availability. Both places are located in Dublin.

+1 on Rim Solutions, just check with them beforehand in case they have those size wheels on loan.

Thanks guys for the help. I've dropped both RS and WW an email with photo looking for a quote. It's worth travelling to get the right job done - just the inconvenience of not having a car if there's no loan wheel option.

The car is three years old and is due a spruce up - the wheels being the biggest let down.

Another one for rim solutions. Full set of wheels loaned to me for the few days mine were being refurbished.
Nice guys to deal with and no issue leaving a new set of tyres with them that they fitted to the refurbed wheels.

These are the wheels Rim solutions done for me. They were heavily kerbed and corroded. Literally came up like new

    I think Antan do this.

Wheel wizards did mine last year and loaned me wheels as well as fit new tyres that I supplied when we were putting the refurbed wheels back on the car.
