Help with Winter Wheels/Tyres for 2014 Nissan Leaf Tekna

    Hi There,

I'm looking to get a set of winter tyres/wheels for my sister for her 2014 Nissan Leaf Tekna. She lives in a fairly remote area that is prone to snow.

I'd been looking on Oponeo and they seemed to have a good range of both but I'm no expert in picking these so was wary of picking out a set without getting some help.

I think the options are (1) Just get her winter tyres and she gets them swapped onto her wheels/off each year or (2) Get a cheapish set of alloy wheels with the winter tyres on and then just swap the wheels over instead.

I'm leaning towards the 2nd option.

So I'm looking to find a set of cheapish alloys that look similar enough to the tekna ones, maybe like these: https://www.oponeo.co.uk/alloy-wheel-detail/alutec-singa-black-6-50x16-5x114-30-et40-00#22982639

I think the standard Tekna alloys are 17" so I'm not sure if it's ok to use 16" ones instead.

And then a better brand set of winter tyres like these: https://www.oponeo.co.uk/tyre/continental-contiwintercontact-ts850

If anyone could let me know if the above combo would work or somthing similar that would be great.

Thanks very much for any advise!
