    Hi,
Just checking, Social Welfare inspector, called to the house, asking routine enough questions, own property, stocks are you working. All where answered and he asked for bank statements which were printed and handed in by close of business. Is a carers allowance claim and haven't heard from the social welfare in nearly 2 years, is this normal?
For them to turn up unannounced? the guy was a bit cagey about giving ID or why he was calling at first but seemed all above board just hostile.
was a bit shocked as the folks we have dealt with before where usually nice.

    Any thoughts?
    Are appreciated.
    Thank you

Perfectly normal. If you feel he was discourteous or not professional you should write to him and tell him.
