    Hi all,

Does anyone know the approximate costs of embrel?
I am currently taking difene anti inflammatory for arthritis as recommended by my rhuematologist. Difene does mask the pain but going forward I don't think it wise to continue using on a daily basis to manage the pain.
Also recommended by my rhuematologist was embrel. This is something I know little about.

So apologies if this is already asked but does anyone know the cost of using embrel? E.g if this costs hundreds/thousands a month

If you have a medical card, Enbrel is free.

If you don’t, then it’s supplied under the Drugs Payments Scheme, which puts a monthly cap of €134 on a family’s prescribed medication.

Question already answered but just to add I got my life back when I went on Enbrel. It’s well worth a try.

No I have Psiriasis which it works for too. It can take a while to work so give it time. Guidelines say up to 3 months but you should see some changes sooner.
