Who do I consult in order to convert agricultural land to nature and possibly get funding and free advice?

We have 5 acres which is grazing area but it was originally part of a turlough. It was "reclaimed" (from nature) by neighbours creating a drain 30years ago.
I'm interested in returning it to a water area for nature and possibly a local attraction and even a natural sewage treatment area.

ETTG had a piece on this very matter last night - programme should still be on the RTE iplayer. Also you could get in contact with the IPCC(Irish Peatland Conservancy) who are currently restoring a number of raised bogs with EU money throughout the country. I think the NPWS are involved too

I don't think any environmentalist would allow sewage near a turlough, aren't they drained by underground rivers.

Are you planning on flooding your neighbours land also?

Google Dunhill eco park. Someone there will give you a steer. Rory Harrington was on that piece I think. He's one of the original developers of the concept in this area if not in the country. They should be able to pass your details to him.

No just mine but I would be interested to hear if others could be compensated for a bigger project.
