so recently got this email threatening that if I did not hire a fiverr.com supplier. he would place porn backlinks to my site an that this would get me kicked from google.

it came in via the sites contact form so I cannot verify any of the addresses and i assume it is being done to tarnish the suppliers name rather than drum up business I could probably get an ip address from the logs as it is a website for a club and has very little traffic.

should I inform the fiverrrr account that their name is being used like this (with a throwaway email) or just not engage with it at all.

it is the first time I have seen something like this, it is almost exciting

I'd report it to Fiverrrr. I wouldnt even bother replying to it either. From reading it and the broken English used I'd assume it's a scam.
