confused

hi folks,dont know if this is the right place to post,but here goes,just bought a sky+hd box to replace one that packed,got all the free to stuff on previous box,bought the same type box,thought id only have to plug in and away i go,but im getting no free channels,except bbc 1,2,no itv,c4,e4 etc,when i press for tv guide,getting a complete different channel list,rte 1,2,etc that i never had before,do i need a different box or what?can the box be tuned in for free to air?any help appreciated,thanks

you may need to get a UK sky card with that box, easy enough to get,Adverts, Donedeal, Ebay etc.., i paid €4 for one before , shouldn't be more then €10, if you get one unplug the box, put card in, plug back in.

thanks,i did not need a card with the other box,how come i need one for this box

You properly had the older sky box, i had same issue, so had to buy a Uk sky card.

Maybe it needs to be setup again,go into menu and try a full channel auto or manual scan,then check what channels you have when scan is finished.

hi again folks,son bought a sky+hd box,getting the irish listings you know rte1 where bbc1 should be etc,so i tried my sky uk card in it and it wont work,i mean the uk listings wont come up,why is that?the boxs look the same except my one is smaller,tried rebooting,done a factory reset but still no uk free channel list,any ideas

Did you put UK card in with box unplugged then power up.
