Heavy smoker looking for a good vape.

I'm on about 50 a day (cigarettes and tobacco), so I need something strong to replace those.
I don't want to start a war here about which is best. I just want some links to vape kits which give a good kick. Tried the starter kits, but they didn't work for me.

Anything based in Ireland would be best.
I've looked at a few sites, but they all seem to be either out of stock of the higher range kits, or are out of business.

My budget is €55-70 for the kit itself.

    tia.

I was the same as you,50 or 60 a day & I found it quite easy to give up which surprised me a lot.
But I was using eliquid with 24mg nicotine strength which got rid of all my cravings for a ciggy.
    You need 18mg nicotine...

With the new regulations in Europe, vendors can only sell 10ml bottles of eliquid with a max of 18mg nic strength, like these ones here...
    https://www.thebestshop.eu/shop/83-10ml-e-liquids

I'm vaping many years now & have a large arsenal of mods & tanks, the ones I'm recommending now for you to try which I am still using today is...

    The Mod
    https://www.thebestshop.eu/shop/vv-mods/1035-30w-eleaf-istick-express-kit.html

    The Tank
    https://www.thebestshop.eu/shop/clearomizers/855-aspire-nautilus-2.html

There is a cheaper option which I love & use everyday is this https://www.thebestshop.eu/shop/electronic-cigarettes-starter-kits/1005-aspire-breeze-2-aio-kit.html
Fantastic vape kit,I know they call all these starter kits but they call most vape set-ups starter kits,I'm vaping over 10 years & I'm still using them.

This Best Shop site is a highly recommended on-line vendor but a little dearer regarding hardware but has those 18mg nic liquids.

Here's another site I use but there liquids only have a max strength of 12mg which is not enough for you yet, here is the link to some of the ones I have already named...

    https://vapewild.eu/aspire-nautilus-2-tank/

    Only grey left https://vapewild.eu/aspire-breeze-2-ultra-portable-pod-system/

As you can see,a lot cheaper, you could try this set-up with the same tank on it...
    https://www.thebestshop.eu/shop/vv-mods/854-aspire-zelos-50w-kit.html

It's over 20€ cheaper on the other site but they only have red/pink left, that wouldn't bother me as long as it works.

You will need spare coils when buying your set-up,anymore questions, just ask here, plenty of us around to help & we all have different opinions.

Check out all these options I've given on Youtube, great place for reviews...

  • I've decided to go for the last one you listed. https://www.thebestshop.eu/shop/vv-mods/854-aspire-zelos-50w-kit.html

One last question: Which type of liquid do I need for this? Is it 70/30 or 60/40 or what?

Try a 60/40 and see how you get on and best of luck.

Good choice, there are 2 different coils in the kit,a 0.7ohm & a 1.8ohm,both are good coils, the lower ohm coil (0.7) can be used approx up to 20w(I would start at 12w & work your way up to get that sweet spot) the (1.8) needs lower wattage 10w - 14w (do the same, start at 10w).
All new coils need to be primed, about 4 drops of liquid down the middle of the coil & then screw the coil into the base, first fill, let it sit for 10 mins so the liquid can soak into the cotton in the coil, you only do this for new coils,if you didn't,the cotton will burn when you push the fire button & the coil is useless.

Another thing, there is an air flow control on the tank (air is very important on every tank) try with 5 holes open,if too loose of draw, just close another hole & then another until you are comfortable with the draw, you probably want a tight draw, like the ciggy, you vape it like you would a ciggy.

    Good Luck

I went with 50/50. It was one at the bottom of the page. "People who bought this also bought..." :)
    Thank you.

Also, when going through their list of liquids, most of them were flavoured. I just wanted one similar to tobacco

This is all good info, and stuff that's not available on the website, so thank you.

I bought a few extra 1.8 ohm coils. I assume that the lower wattage means that the battery lasts longer. If so, I'm glad they're the ones I ordered.
Should be here in the morning.

A couple of little tips you need know about the Nautilus2 tank...

The top cap can be difficult to unscrew from the base, because I have arthritis,I use a rubber glove like marigolds,I don't put it on,I just grip the air flow base & the top cap with parts of the rubber glove & it unscrew's easily.

Fill the tank near the top, leave a space of about 3mm at the top, screw on the top cap, some tanks may leak a little when screwing on the top cap but it stops,if it does happen to leak, this is what I do...

Screw down the top cap slowly till you feel the top cap biting into the rubber O-Ring & then turn the tank upside down & screw it all the way.
There is many tanks out there with top fills,it causes a vacuum & pushes some liquid out of the airflow.

Your first few vapes will make you cough your guts up but that disappears after a good few vapes, your lungs are only getting use to the clean vapour instead of those 2000 toxins :D:D:D

Yeah, I had a bit of trouble with that at the start because I didn't know where to hold it while unscrewing it.
My arthritis is in my knees, so the only trouble I had there was getting to the bottom of the stairs before the courier was gone. :)
He left it with my neighbour, who was in the garden.

Yeah, the first few were rough, and I'm still finishing off the last of my smokes, but it's working fine now. Far better than the cheap one I had from the supermarket, and well worth the money.

    Thanks again for your help.
