If adding a third storey to a building is there anything particular in building regs to note, outside that which could be expected to apply for a habitable attic conversion?

    Cheers.

    Part A - Structure
    Part B - Fire Safety

They are the 2 main ones. After that you have the comfort ones. Part L - insulation and limiting heat loss and air infiltration. Part F - Ventilation (although this is important for human well being and structure ventilation (timber’s).
