Basically how is it dealt with? or is it ignored. Family on our street are working & claiming and are very in your face about it. Basically everyone on the street knows there doing it.

Apparently one of them was given a warning about 2 years ago but still continues to work locally & claim. It's like a running joke.
I'm assuming it's all been ignored by welfare

    If your concerned report it

if the social dont know its happeing they cant stop it.
Also worth while to notethat there are instances where people can work and still claim some form of welfare so maybe its not fraud?

Don't be snitching. Don't get involved. Leave them alone.

Why? They’re scamming you and me out of how our taxes are spent

You can report them on the DSP website and they will follow up if there is any illegality involved

The greatest con artists and fraudsters are the politicians. Spending huge money on unaccountable vanity projects.

Some poor person claiming a few quid extra at the end of the week is an immaterial amount.

“..some poor person claiming a few quid extra”. Lol
You forgot to mention the bankers there in your post.

And a large number of "immaterial amounts" add to a rather sizeable amount.

This could indeed be the case in relation to "some" politicians, that doesn't mean the rest of us have to go out and claim a benefit you are not entitled to. Ideally, such vanity projects should be properly scrutinised and publicised. There is no such a thing as an "immaterial amount" - theft is theft and the cumulative result of multiple, dishonest claims has an impact on spending budgets. If we included Revenue fraud, Medical Card fraud and invalid applications for various grants in the overall amount claimed unlawfully, I suspect the monies saved could fund additional staff for hospitals or resources for special needs.

    Working class solidarity.

The OP does not know how the people will react if they found out she was snitching; best not to chance it.

How would they find out? You report theft anonymously online, or you can ring. All reports are acted on. Are you honestly suggesting that the SW inspector bursts in the door of number 7 saying “ Mary in number 2 says your working and claiming Paddy!”
You’re very keen that this theft goes unreported, why?
If people didn’t steal money from SW then the SW budget would be better spread out amongst those who actually need it.
You do realise that the SW actually has a budget and the money is not actually growing on a tree in Leinster House?
