    Hi everyone

    Just a quick question; how do I find out where to buy a British Shorthair kitten?

    There are plenty of breeders and info for the UK but I'm struggling to find info for Ireland.
    I know if you were enquiring about dog breeders you'd contact the IKC but where do I go about this breed of cat?
    Thanks in advance.

    There have been some on donedeal. Maybe some breeders among them? Fine looking cats! Good luck

    Oh and the Cat Fancy in the Uk may be able to refer you?

    The cat registries in Ireland are GCCFI, or TICA. Both have websites where you should get info on breeders. There’s lots of beautiful British short hairs in Ireland! I’d stay away from the likes of done deal as unfortunately they are becoming popular, meaning some unscrupulous people are breeding them (although some excellent catteries do advertise there, so buyer beware!). Make sure both parents are health tested, not exactly sure on which are necessary for BSH, but I’m sure it will be easy to find out from the breed clubs.
    Best of luck in your search! I’d love to add a blue British to the family if I wouldn’t be disowned :pac:

    <snip>

    Lovely babies..

    Mod note
    As per the forum charter, a link to an online advertisement for pets for sale has been removed.
    Thanks,

    Well they are relatively speaking common; look for some of the more rare once and you'll easily be four figure or more.
