Verbal Offer but no contract yet

    Hi all,
I have recently gone through an interview process with a company and was told they would like to offer me the job. All great so far.
I had a medical last Thursday and my references were also contacted. I was told the medical was fine and I'm sure all my references were fine too() but I have not heard anything back from the company yet.
The references are done through an agency and I contacted them to see had they finished their process and they have and forwarded them to the company.
Just getting a bit concerned now about the lack of contact from them.
I kind of thought it was a done deal but I suppose its not until I sign the contract. Am i just being impatient and worrying for no reason?

Yea cool the jets, give them a few days to sort it all out and issue the contract. Don't do anything rash like pack in your job just yet.

Do you like where your working and get on well, could be the time to play hard ball now and see will they beat the offer and give you a promotion once you get the new contract in your hand. Devil you know can better sometimes.

Yeah I do like where I'm working at the moment buts its more a location issue to be honest.
They have already told me they will at least match the offer so its a good position to be in I know. Thanks

Just be patient. I didn't get my contact in my current job for 4 months. I thought they were messing me around but actually they're just a bit incompetent.
