    Hey folks lookin for a bit of clarity here.. have a gas cooker in the house with an old rubber gas hose coming through the wall from outside.(I know suppose to be copper now which I have sorted) but last weekend I woke up to the smell of gas in the house so obviously run outside and disconnected the cylinder. Anyway I pulled the house out of the wall and seen a rgt bit hole about an in lenth on the hose. I bought a new hose, connected all back up and that same night the same thing happened again although not as big of a hole. I'm convinced it's a mouse in the cavity at least I hope it's jus a mouse but I left the hose in the wall for a few ngts after (disconnected of course ) but it hasn't been touched.. any help or suggestions much appreciated thanks

    Maybe a good start would be bait a trap and catch the rat, a gas leak detector would then be a good investment and as regards the replacement hose have a look at the current RGI requirements
