Can’t find a good therapist, so disheartening

I am looking to find a therapist and I’m struggling so much with finding a good one, it’s incredibly disheartening.

I had an excellent one before but she was always really busy and couldn’t accommodate evening appointments so I could no longer see her due to my own work schedule.

I’m going through a lot at the moment and it’s really hard that most therapists just don’t seem to hit the mark. I’m not sure where to go from here I’ve tried so many at this stage. I’m not sure why I’m posting here I guess I just feel down and wondered if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions??

How do they not hit the mark?

Had you being seeing the other therapist for long and how come it didnt suit when it did before? Could you go at lunchtime?

    Hi OP

There are loads of types of counsellors as there are doctors. You have to find one who matches your personality, your issues and your aims. Like doctors there are good and bad ones out there. It takes time, but give it time because it’s worth it.

Your GP knows those who are local but I found mine through google who made me the man I am today! Go and look around and don’t close off any avenue. It takes time x

How many have you seen?? It is something that does take time unfortunately sometimes.

I met with 4 over a period of two years. They were varying degrees of "Ok" or "fine" until I hit gold and.clicked with someone wonderful. I always managed to take something away from the "ok" ones.

You sound quite whiney and self defeatist being completely honest.

Ffs, was that really necessary? More than a bit harsh
