Is there a list published of upcoming district court lottery applications? What is the procedure for objecting?
Concerned that another organisation may set up one to compete with one we have running.

    Thanks.

Afaik there is no special day for hearing of these, so a pending application would be listed for that particular day.

In any objection one should give reasonable notice of same. stating reasons

Is "we dont want competition" a grounds for objecting?

    Pretty much yes.

31.—(1) In considering an application for a licence the court shall have regard to—

    (a) the character of the applicant, and

    (b) the number of periodical lotteries already in operation in the locality.

Easy. Contact the clerks office or the local Garda superintendents office and ask.
