How are Peugeots these days? (New Peugeot 508 SW)

    Was intent on importing a car from the UK in the new year, but might find it hard to move my current car privately (151 Passat). So might end up going new, so considering
    Was just looking at some vid on the new 508 SW due out and it looks very impressive, - actually a very stylish and premium looking car.

    To be honest I probably wouldn't have considered a Peugeot a few years ago but they seem to be getting something right now, the SUVs look well too. I remember when I was a young fella (some time ago now ;) though we had a Peugeot for a short while and it's the only car I remember actually pushing, so still a brand I'd be apprehensive about. So, are these much better cars now, or still have some reliability issues?
    Also, how about resale?
