Anybody had or been at a wedding in Palmerstown House Estate in Johnstown?
We’re going to see it but I’ll be on an open evening so in darkness unfortunately.

Is there much of a walk from the Manor House to the golf club?

The house won’t hold our number for a meal but they’ve said we can have the ceremony & drinks reception in the Manor House, meal in the golf club and then dancing back in the Manor House..... it seems like a lot of moving around for 150 people??

As it’ll be a Saturday I’m assuming there’ll be random golfers in the club too which isn’t ideal.

Can anyone share some experience of a wedding at this venue?

I haven't been there, but with that set-up, you can guarantee losing guests along the way. I would imagine a significant proportion of people would remain in the golf club following the meal to chat and drink (particularly older people or anyone who isn't really interested in dancing). It's hard enough when the bar is outside of the room with the dance floor, and in the set up you describe, it sounds like it would be a lot worse.

Thank you for your input but I am looking to hear from someone with experience of attending a wedding at this venue.
