    Hi,
I am looking for a screen and projector for giving some basic work presentations - connecting to Macbook. Not looking for anything top of the range. What would you suggest?
    Thank you.

    Hi onway,

Apologies for the delay getting back to you.

If you are looking for a projector it really depends on how far away you are looking to put the projector from the screen and what size of screen you are looking for.

I would start off looking at the Optoma HD143X Full HD projector at £449. This is the best of the entry level Full HD projectors:

For a screen we would stock the Optoma 92" pull down screen at £89. This would be a great screen for a projector distance of around 3m away. The further away you place the projector the larger the screen size but the price does increase as the size increases.

Let me know what you think and if you have any measurements and I can quote more accurately.

    Kind regards

    David

Can you recommend a projector for a converted attic? Sitting around 3m away from a pull down screen which I'd need too. 3 big velux up there with No blinds yet. Mainly family viewing off an Android or Q BOX and sports if I'll be left. Would need sound too until I get an A/V system later on.

Budget 5-600 maybe stretch it to 700. TIA

    Hey Kevin.

For a 92" screen there would be the Optoma DS92 priced at 149 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-11803-optoma-ds9092pwc-92-inch-projector-screen.aspx

Starting point for a projector would be the ViewSonic View M1 priced at 329.00 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203618-viewsonic-view-m1-portable-led-projector-with-harman-kardon-speakers.aspx

Next up would be the popular BENQ W1050 priced at 489 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-202953-benq-w1050-dlp-projector-1080p-hd-ready.aspx

Optoma have their HD143X priced at 499 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203243-optoma-hd143x-3d-dlp-projector-1080p-hd-ready.aspx

We use the above mentioned 92" screen in our demo room and our seating position would be around the same 3 meters.

For a sound option it would really have to be a soundbar with HDMI connections if no AV system.

Starting at the Yamaha YAS207 priced at 299 Euro

    Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks Kenny, looks a nice piece of kit. Measured it up over the weekend and can't find an ideal set up for a projector unfortunately, even with a smaller screen. Going to go down a tv route now so will be watching out for deals on a 40 or 43 inch. Have a Sony 40 KDL I got off ye in 08 in the sitting room, not an ounce of bother.
