Is it possible to check a helicopter circling my house a few days ago? I know Flightradar24 will give you live data but I didn’t think to check it at the time. It was at 11pm so unusual I would think to be out. House is rural so more unusual?

Flightradar has historical data. It gets data from two sources, ADB-S and older transport triangulation. Not all aircraft of any type have ADB-S yet and most of Ireland has limited to no triangulation (MLAT) coverage.

Some copters have marine AIS equipment and may turn up on shipais.com instead

Just to add, MLAT shows up some stuff in Ireland, but rarely helicopters as they’ll be lower and so not in range of enough receivers to triangulate a location.

Helicopters usually don't show up on flightradar, I used to regularly check it when there'd be one overhead but they'd hardly ever be on it

Marine Traffic - Irish Coast Guard S92's.
FlightRadar24 - AIRCORPS112 EAS Helicopter & Irish Air Corps AW139 fleet, IRCG S92's at Altitude higher than 2,000ft, Private helicopters in the UK & UK HM Coast Guard helicopters.
ADS-B - EAS Heli, RAF Helicopters & some European helicopters too, will also show Garda Air Support Unit but when they do not want to be seen they will not show & for a very good reason.
