Ive posted in the WSOF threads a few times as my friend Ian Heinisch has been making his way up the ranks.

Now I can finally get excited and post in a UFC thread as he is making his UFC debut on Fight Night 140 against Cezar Ferreira.

This was his video he sent me to ask for boardsies support back at WSOF 29 in March 2016.

Nice! I had been looking out to see when he'd be fighting.

I think Tom Breese had that matchup so he must be a late replacement? Hopefully it won't affect him too much.

A very winnable fight although Ferreira is on a very good streak at the moment.

Yeah its a late call up. He has been training constantly knowing that his first chance would likely be as a replacement for someone pulling out.

Fair play to him, 1-0 in the UFC. Looks like a solid all-round fighter too.

It was a tough enough fight that. Good to see him getting tested.

I was surprised to see him get taken down so much, but he didn't seem in much danger when ti happened, he got back up so quickly when he wanted to, or rapidly made submission attempts.

Brilliant stuff delighted for him. I thought the scoring was a bit odd, I didn't think he won all 3. I also thought he might have been able to get the KO in the 3rd, but took it to the ground. But great that we will see more of him.

Yes, he was taken down a lot for someone with a wrestling background.

I didn't realise they were going to announce this, he told me not to mention it anywhere a few days back. Not many secrets in the MMA world is there! hahaha

Certainly doesn’t take long for things to get out these days in the age of social media mate!

What do you think of the matchup? No point in asking what Ian thinks as he’ll obviously be extremely confident about it! :pac:
