    hi all,
the dear postman seems to break my mailbox cam lock each time I have a small package, I've already replaced the cam lock 3 times. Each time the only thing which breaks is the screw, but I've searched for hours and cannot seem to find any of those screws sold on their own...
if anyone has an idea... out would be really appreciated:

I’d have a word with the postman for starters.

You likely need an M3 or M4 x 8mm machine screw.

Next time you buy a lock, take the screw out and measure it. Ebay will turn up what you need.

But talk with that postman too.

thanks JayZeus for your quick reply. sorry there was a bug on boards.ie and couldn't post the specs of the screw: the head diameter is 9mm, the thread's diameter is between 3.5 and 3.9mm, and the length of the thread is 4mm.

tried eBay already but to no avail...

    It’ll be M4.

    Look at this on eBay

    M2 M2.5 M3 M4 M5 M6 M8 Hex Socket Button Head Screw Bolt 10.9 Black Alloy Steel
