Based on the info on the soda website there doesn’t seem to be a huge difference between the ambition and style trims on the kodiaq for the fairly big price difference. Just wondering if anyone has picked the style version and what made it worth it or was it worth it

    So these are the differences

    Around €5k in the difference.

The leather, rear camera and LED headlights would make a nice car out of it, and to get all the other little nice things all for €5k isn’t bad at all, if you’re into having extras.

I’m looking at a Kodiaq too and agree the Style is too expensive. You could option those items important to you on an Ambition, eg Admunsen nav is only 400 extra and the Lighting pack inc LED lights are 1200. Leather isn’t great quality but half leather is a good option on the Ambition for 1000.

The only thing if your going pcp you’d find that moving to the higher model might mean cheaper payments than the lower spec model with extra’s added

The 7 seat option is nearly a must for resale do you think?

Definitely - cheaper to lease the 7 seat version than the 5 seat due to the much better predicted resale value.

Quite possible the 19" Alloys put the vehicle in to the next VRT bracket, which would explain a bigger than expected price difference.

If you want a 5 seater get the Karoq, only slightly smaller internally and a lot cheaper

Hard to justify cost for what is essentially cosmetic extras.

I'd ask about heated seats which are about 300 across range and a smartphone does a better job than any built in nav system.

Think I checked this and they were all the same. Don’t know how WLTP will affect it.

What are your long term plans for the car. 5 year hp I assume.

4 years hp, i have 24k trade in value. Didn't like the Karoq and we won't use the 7 seats, no plans really after 4 years, may or may not change.
Do i want to be looking at 2 seats pushed down in the boot or have a nice flat boot, would prefer the latter. i think i'll go with 5 anyway now amd spend tbe 1k on a few extras i have my eye on.
The only other concern i have is parking in the city or residential roads that are "tight", perhaps some underground car parks may also be tight.

You want to trade a 4 years?
Everyone will be looking for secondhand 7 seats. It's the way of the modern carseat world

ok, the extra 1k is just scraping me over budget, definitely want the led headlights which is circa 1k and then leather seats, anyway, probably best to reconsider now, i suppose the extra seats might come in handy when the 2 kids get older i can ferry around their mates too

My wife went with the 7 seater kodiaq and we only have two kids and it was a great decision for ferrying cousins and kids etc
