    Hi,

I have been approved glasses from medical card. By the time I get the lenses thinned down etc the bill is quite high.

I wonder has anyone ever went ahead and gotten the free frames. If so, are they okay, durable etc.

    Many thanks

i usually go for the 89.99 frames in specsavers and pay the extra 37.50, get two pairs and then pay another 20 to get one turned into sunglasses (very handy for driving)

If they are for everyday wear i personally dont like the 40 euro frames, i jsut find them a lil bit too flimsy

Specsavers tend to discriminate against medical card holders and wheelchair users.Greedy as usual.

I had no idea it had all become so costly..

My glasses got lost in a move two years ago; medical card etc, but the paperwork etc would take weeks. A lady told me to go to the pharmacy..... since then been getting simple glasses for as little as E1.50 .. they are fine for reading and close work ,
