Reduced JSA

    I only received 165e today from Jobs seekers allowance. looking at the receipt it says I've been paid for 5 days, when its always 6 days and I get 198e. I thought it might have something to with the bank holiday but its never happened before, on any previous bank holiday. Has this happened to anyone? Do I need to go to the Social welfare office and get this sorted? If it's a mistake do they apply it to the following week?

    They take away one day for the bank holiday.

    Not so! OP should go to the SW office and find out the reason for the reduced payment.

    It's true. The first time I got a reduced payment when on SW, I went into the office and I was told that on weeks with bank holidays, the Monday isn't counted and you lose a day. Every time there was a bank holiday, I had a reduced payment.

    my husband was on jsa for the last 2,5 years, was never docked for a bank holiday

    OP should def go ask why he was short

    I was working part time. Maybe that had something to do with it? Are you working part time op?
